Glydo Privacy Policy
Your privacy is important to us at GlydoÖ. We know that you care how information about you is being used, and make every effort to ensure that your use of Glydo is free of privacy concerns. This Privacy Policy explains which information Glydo collects and how it is used. We will not collect, use, or share information except as described in this policy.
The Glydo Service
When you use the Glydo browser add-on and service, we collect and use information as follows: - No Personally Identifiable Information. We do not collect any personally identifiable information. You will never be asked to enter an email address, address, phone number, password, username or any such information that may be used to personally identify you.
- Information Collected About Web Pages. Glydo is a browser add-on that provides you with web content that is related to the content you are currently viewing. Once installed, Glydo analyzes certain web pages you visit, extracts relevant information about them, and sends it to the Glydo server for analysis and generation of content recommendations.
- No Storage of Identifiable Web Page Content. We do not store any data on our servers that associates web page content with individuals.
- No Collection for Secure Web Pages. We do not analyze secure web pages. Pages with addresses (URLs) starting with https are not analyzed, and their content or URL are never sent to the Glydo server.
- Anonymous Client Identifier. When Glydo is installed, it generates a random identifier that is sent to the server with each request. This identifier does not contain any personal information whatsoever, and it cannot be used to identify you personally in any way. We use this identifier to generate aggregate statistics and to personalize your Glydo experience.
- Storage of Aggregate Statistics. We do store aggregate, non-personally-identifiable information in our server regarding your experience with Glydo so that we can improve our service by learning how people use it. For example, we store the types of recommendations that received the most clicks from users. Any usage data we collect is only be stored anonymously (again, we never ask you for a username, email address or such).
- Glydo Is Only Active in the Browser. It does not collect or analyze anything you do outside of the browser, or when the browser is not running.
- You can always toggle whether Glydo is active by using the Tools/Addons menu of your browser and enabling or disabling Glydo. Glydo will not perform any action (page analysis, transmitting material to the Glydo server) when disabled.
Other Sites
Glydo provides links and recommendations to 3rd party content or other websites. These links are provided for your convenience as is, and such provision does not indicate our endoresement of such content or websites. These content sources and websites are not under Glydo control whatsoever, and we take no responsibility for them, their content, or their privacy policies. Email, Feedback and Community Forums
If you communicate with us via email, our feedback form, or community forums, we may retain a copy of your message for tracking purposes. If you provide an email address or any other personally identifiable information in such communication we may retain those as well.
